Skin Tightening Treatment

Skin Tightening is one of the most common requests in our clinic!
Loose or sagging skin occurs when internal or external factors affect the key molecules that help keep the skin elastic, firm, and hydrated.
Most people start to experience skin laxity, or loosening, between the ages of 35 and 40 years. Skin laxity that occurs with age is mostly due to a loss of collagen networks, elastin fibers, and hyaluronic acid — a molecule that helps the skin retain moisture.
Weight loss, especially significant or rapid weight loss, and pregnancy can also loosen the skin by stretching skin molecules or changing the structure of the skin.
Several other health and lifestyle factors can also contribute to loose skin, including:
- Menopause
- ultraviolet (UV) light damage
- artificial tanning
- certain medications, such as steroids and corticosteroids
- skin products or detergents that contain harsh chemicals
- smoking
- drinking alcohol
Firm skin can stretch and snap back into place easily. When skin loses this ability, it starts to sag. Saggy skin can happen almost anywhere on the body. Common areas where you might see saggy skin include:
- eyelids
- jowls
- chin
- throat
- upper arms
- stomach

Tempsure Envi is a noninvasive radiofrequency treatment that can minimize fine lines and wrinkles, tighten skin, and improve the appearance of cellulite. The device uses radiofrequency waves to deliver heat deep into your skin, triggering collagen production that results in more firmness and fewer wrinkles. It’s safe for all skin tones, and there’s no downtime.
It works best as a series of treatments. Every patient will have a Custom Treatment Plan created by one of our Medical Aestheticians, but you can expect to need at least four Tempsure Envi sessions, two to four weeks apart. Treatments can last anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the area.
Afterward, there are no visible side effects other than redness, which usually subsides quickly. Many of our New Light patients say they noticed some positive results, including tighter skin, after just one Tempsure Envi session.
Results of the procedure are noticeable and almost immediate for most patients, and they will continue to improve in the three weeks following treatment. Your results from Tempsure Envi and the collagen generated are lasting; however, they are still subject to the future effects of aging and gravity. In order to fend off new lines, wrinkles, and cellulite, we recommend getting touch-up sessions every 6 to 12 months.

- For 5 - 7 days prior to treatment, at the practitioners discretion, avoid therapies that may cause erythema (redness) or irritation such as Retin-A or products containing Isotretinoin, glycolic acid and or salicylic acid.
- The treatment area must be free of any open lesions or infections.
- For optimum treatment, hydrate by drinking plenty of water or hydrating fluids several days in advance. Avoid alcohol, if possible.

- Soothing creams or moisturizers may be used.
- Use sunblock with an SPF 30 or greater if going out into the sun to help prevent future sun damage. This treatment does not cause photosensitivity.
