Dull Skin Treatment
A dull skin tone is a result of excess dead skin cells that build up on the surface of the skin.
A dull skin tone is a result of excess dead skin cells that build up on the surface of the skin. Your skin can lose its natural luminosity because of dryness, damaged cells or slow cell turnover, all of which can happen at any age and in any season. This can make your face feel rough or bumpy, and can also give the skin a dull, lackluster appearance.
If you’re over the age of 30, dull skin is not an uncommon problem. When you’re younger, skin naturally exfoliates every two weeks.
This means that a fresh, youthful complexion is unveiled every time the outer layer of dead skin cells is shed, which keeps the complexion young and glowing. Skin can also become dull when blood flow and oxygenation of skin cells is reduced. This is particularly common in smokers who tend to develop dry, dull skin with fine lines.
It’s time to shine! We have three potential treatment options to address dull skin including the medical grade Vivier® Chemical Facial Peel, the ICON® Laser, and the PicoSure® Laser
Medical Grade Chemical Facial Peels rejuvenate and refine the look of your skin. They work by removing the outermost layer of skin, causing immediate gratification by diminishing imperfections. Peels can be used as a stand alone treatment or as a part of a customized treatment plan for more dramatic effect when combined with other treatments or procedures. The Vivier® Peel is the ideal peel to give you firmer, glowing skin.
The rich and glowing formula of the Vivier® Peel provides many benefits including:
- Improving skin complexion and radiance.
- Softens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Reducing age spots, blemishes, hyperpigmentation, and skin discolouration.
- Diminishing the appearance of melasma and rosacea.
- Reducing overall skin redness.
- Firming the skin by stimulating collagen production.
- Reducing the appearance of acne scars.
- Tightening and reducing pore size.
- Age spots, sun spots & pigmentation.
The gold-standard ingredients in this peel includes microencapsulated Retinol, Alpha-Arbutin, Resorcinol, pure Vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) and Peptides.
The Vivier® Peel is Dermatologist tested, not tested on animals and recommended for a beautiful complexion.
We are thrilled to offer New Light patients the innovative power and versatility of the ICON® Laser. This advanced laser houses three different treatment modalities in one machine, giving Dr. Jeffery and his aesthetic staff a wide range of options to address everything from dull skin, wrinkles and discoloration to broken capillaries.
Patients often come into our office with a variety of cosmetic concerns they want to improve. The beauty of the Icon® Laser is that it can address multiple issues in just one treatment or spread out over multiple treatments, if indicated. Additionally, this leading device is more comfortable during treatment, offering the same wonderful benefits as other lasers but with less discomfort and downtime.
Another feature of the ICON® is its intelligent skin reading device that determines the melanin amount in the skin being treated, which ensures optimal safety for a wide range of skin types. The ICON® 1540 non-ablative fractional laser uses microscopic beams of heat to stimulate cells to thicken the underlying collagen resulting in improved skin tone, texture and elasticity. This laser is safe on most skin types, and a series of treatments are required for optimal results.
Since the non-ablative ICON® 1540 laser does not remove a layer of your skin, sun block and makeup can be applied immediately, and no downtime is experienced. This device is commonly used to treat all types of scars, stretch marks and complexion irregularities on most skin types.
As an alternative or added treatment, give your skin a brightening pick-me-up with our PicoSure® Focus device. This rejuvenating treatment offers patients a plentitude of skin-beautifying benefits including a reduction in sun damage and pigmented areas as well as diminished lines, wrinkles and acne scars.
The skin resurfacing power of PicoSure® offers patients results similar to ablative and non-ablative laser sessions, however, this treatment has a few advantages over the others. With PicoSure®, patients do not need the same prep time nor downtime that is needed for ablative and non-ablative lasers, making this a great choice for New Light patients seeking serious improvements in the look and feel of their skin.
Whether your concerns include fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, uneven tone or unwanted pigmentation, PicoSure® Focus offers the leading technology for laser skin revitalization. Additionally, this is one of the few lasers safe for all skin types, giving all patients a revitalized complexion without the risk that comes with other devices.
Potenza takes RF microneedling to new levels. The versatility this system provides allows us to customize your treatments based on your specific needs – all skin types, anywhere on the body, any time of the year. The industry gold standard for skin tightening, toning, acne scarring improvement, surgical scar improvement, cystic acne treatment, mommy tummy makeover, underarm tightening, and improving the look of cellulite.
